Paratha Roll

The "Paratha Roll" in Lahore is - hands down - the best snack you can grab on the go. You can get it almost anywhere now, till very late at night too. But the real deal is in finding the real deal. Highly recommended ones are Silverspoon in Liberty and Karachi BBQ in Defence. The scrumptious rolls come in chicken and beef fillings – with your choice of dressing. The list to choose from includes bihari, mayo, tikka and so on. Since the parathas are quite greasy – the delicious wraps are best when madly hot! You can omit onions if you don’t like the aftertaste but the salad inside makes for quite a nice balance with the meaty filling. The Paratha Rolls are served with mouth-watering ‘imili ki chatni’ (tamarind paste) and Karachi BBQ does it best. The rolls are sort of a middle ground between street food and eating in at restaurants. A must-have for someone visiting Lahore. If you suddenly get hungry right in the middle of the night and don’t feel like ordering in fast food – these rolls are quite a snack! Most of all, the Paratha Roll will satisfy your desi tooth for quite a few days.
