If memory serves me right, my experience while eating at Bar B. Q. Tonight in karachi was fantastic. Main factors being the company of my family, the soothing windy weather of karachi and of course most importantly the BBQ was delish!! The place was hustling and bustling with people, especially inside. So we opted for the outdoor sitting which was far more comfortable and peaceful. All in all it was a wonderful memory that always brings a smile to my face

I love cinnamon. I always have. I always will. This love for the sweet spice led me to Cinnabon. The beautiful smell on entering the place is intoxicating! It took me a few minutes just to get back to my senses. There was a large menu to choose from, but I was running short of time so I just went for the ones already made and on display. I tried the chocolate cinnabon and the classic one. I liked the classic once better, although I later regretted not trying the picante one (a generous topping of nuts). Oh well next time. The price is on the HIGH side and that part I don't like much. I am sure only pure cinnamon bun lovers will become loyal customers. You just can't expect the same loyalty and willingness to part with money from a non-cinnabonlover. I went there on a full stomach after a big lunch so that was not a very good idea. Next time I plan on going with an empty stomach and extra cash. Their big sized cinnabon with some new topping of fruit perhaps and their coffeee..is my next target.

My experience with the liberty and defence branches has been fairly good usually. This is regarding the LINK ROAD branch. Two words. Never Again! We have always liked their shwarmas, chicken platters but this time around everything was a huge disappointment. It was just one of those nights when good food was not destined for us. The platter was tasteless and the zinger burger was stale and heated a dozen times so it looked almost charcoal! We returned that and ordered the chicken club sandwich, which turned out to be salty and weird tasting. They also took ages to get our order. So all in all my family and I are completely put off by cock 'n bull for at least some time to come!

I just can't seem to get over how amazing their burgers are..This time I tried their grilled mushroom beef burger loaded with mozzarella cheese, a generous helping of mushrooms, oozing with delicious garlic mayo, topped with veges and of course the scrumptious looking beef patty cooked to absolute perfection! Considering how huge a fan I am of the place, the management oughtta give me some loyalty reward points no ;)? Oh and ofcourse my drinks were free again thanks to tossdown..:)

My second experience with Malee's was even more gratifying...Creamy and spicy Rattle snake Pasta, Flavorful Malee's special steak, Over Hot chicken supreme pizza, Soothingly delicious peach juice ! No these were not all my orders but since the food was too delectable to ignore, I had no choice but too have a taste of all..This time my 10 month old was also with me..even he liked what he ate.:).Another great part was the comfortable ambiance, specifically on the top floor - A child friendly place for sure! There's nothing too extraordinary about the decor, but thats a good thing because you really want to focus on your food when its that good. The only thing they can slightly focus on more is the chicken nuggets they came up with. Apart from that I am gradually becoming a loyal Malee:) p.s: tossdown you really need to get us a discount here!

Honestly speaking I don't feel overjoyed when I think of going to Salt 'n Pepper. Probably because its one of THE oldest eatouts in Lahore. Plus is always so crowded! So that kind of turns me off. But the food is always pretty good which I guess is the main reason I gravitate towards the place each time. I had their supreme chicken burger this time. It has a certain 'desi' touch to it, so to speak. Practically 99% of their menu items do, but then thats why Salt 'n Pepper is so famous. Anyway the burger tasted nice and wasn't too heavy on the pocket either. The stuffed chicken which is one of their specialties was great(unlike a couple of times we had it in our previous visits). We made it a point to mention it while giving the order. So they really had no other option but to bring the best stuffed chicken their kitchen could spring up. One thing worth mentioning here is the increased prices. This place was always famous for its food AND the reasonable prices. But items like stuffed chicken, steak were pretty over priced. They really need to pay more attention in the prices department now don't they. Overall it was a pleasant, uneventful experience. Having given a reasonable amount of critique, it stands true that Salt 'n Pepper is and probably will continue to be one of the hottest and most visited restaurants of Lahore.

They did it again. They made me fall in love with their burgers. I can't help it. Its just this untold chemistry that I have with that place; something I might investigate further in the future. But for now I am happy just raving about their food. This time around my husband and I took a night out and decided to treat ourselves to some smoky burgers. The whiskey river BBQ beef burger, I tell you, is scrumptious with a capital S!!! The beef melts in your mouth, coupled with flowing BBQ sauce, veges and cheese. MMMMMMMMMMMM !!! The other burger was fire alarm but in chicken. It had a nice spicy touch to it because of the jalapenos. But once you bite into one of Gun Smoke' s beef burgers, chicken just looses its charm. So its really not the chicken's fault. Its more to do with how great their beef burgers are. Their steaks are supposed to be great too but I haven't had one in a long time so can't comment on the current state of the steaks. But I am sure they are super duper! Their salad bar is not overstuffed with variety but still a nice appetizing assortment of salads if you feel like having some while you wait for your food. The fresh lime was awesome! It is worth mentioning here because it had the perfect blend of lemon and soda, which is very hard to find in other restaurants these days. Which reminds me! Thanks to tossdown's privilege card, our drinks were absolutely free! And we saved quite a bit because of this awesome deal! So thanks guys! Moving on, the environment I won't rave on about, but one thing I can tell the newcomers is that its a flawlessly casual and comfy place NOT designed for uptight, picky eaters:p. Its all about Good Food. Period.

Panini Sandwiches are a hot favorite of mine and I grab any chance I can get to try out paniniz across town. So it was almost destined that I'd end up at Paniniz one day or another. The ambiance was fairly ok and the decor was a bit inclined towards the color orange for some reason. They could do with some proper lighting to brighten up the feel of the place. We ordered their milano panini and picanto pizza. The panini tasted nice but wasn't something extra ordinary. Described in simple words: A nice 'n light chicken grilled sandwich. The pizza was delicious and of a generous size. We ordered the small size which was fairly sufficient for two people. Perfect thin crust pizza with olives, plenty of chicken, cheese etc. We loved it. So the pizza ranked higher on our list although we were here specifically for the panini:). So to be fair, next time I'd like to try their other fancy schmanzy paniniz and THEN give a final verdict of the place;).

Good 'ol desi fried chicken

No matter how many high and mighty international restaurants venture into our country and boast of fried chicken and the likes, Lahore Broast and many other similar fried chicken restaurants have and always will hold their true place and identity among this crazy fried chicken outbreak! I actually went and sat in their family sitting area for the first time ever. With simple chairs, tables and ceiling fans I realized how unpretentious and simple it all was. A large menu was pasted on the wall right in front of me, which I thought was a very effective and economical way to display a menu. In fact it was so effective that I ended up ordering extra food like their chicken burger along with the steam chicken broast that I had especially come for. The burger wasn't a very good idea though. The steam chicken came with the century old tradition of french fries and white bread and bright red ketchup. I ate the chicken till the very end. Finger lickin' good in the true sense, might I add.

I have been annoyed by KFC for a very long time now. This annoyance has now reached an all new level of frustration! I promised to myself I would not eat KFC when I went to one of their branches in defence. However, I tried to give them another chance and had a zinger and some chicken delivered at my place. Wait it gets better from here!! The zinger was stale and had foul, old chicken in it! Can you believe it? An international chain that boasts of being finger lickin' good gives you foul tasting, God knows how many weeks old chicken. I was enraged and after repeatedly complaining at their helpline , their delivery boy showed up well after an hour after the ordeal. I returned the food. KFC is off my list for good now. The management should really straighten up and pay attention to the kind of food they are giving. Old, Stale and Greasy!
