errrr....

Yum has been the talk of the town for some time now, and so I decided that I should pay this new Chinese restaurant a visit. The ambiance is very comfortable and soothing to the nerves, specifically due to the perfect lighting arrangement. The menu is quite elaborate and new comer could easily get boggled down by the intense variety and choice of both Chinese and Thai cuisine. I went with friends who had been there before so we decided to order some of their recommendations. The rest we just left to the waiter or ordered on our own. The thai stir fry dish was amazing. Beautiful and fresh looking vegetables and chicken with just the right glossiness and flavour. The rice and noodles were good too. However, one of the thai curries, in prawns, was inedible. Everyone at the table just grabbed one prawn and some of the curry and held up our hands after that. The coconut flavor was still not as bad as this weird tasting herb that we couldn't even identify. Apart from that, another negative was the temperature of the food, which was not even close to being scorching hot like it should be in a Chinese/Thai restaurant. So that also kind of ruined the whole deal. Anyhow, I might try this place again in the winter and see if I have better luck this time.

  • OB I am boggled to hear this about YUM...btw I only visited this place once and wasnt impressed by the food just the interior is great and mentionable...but the hype this place has to me seems over-rated...although im not great with thai food...
