hadYum Kai, 7 Leaf Chicken
On a lovely spring afternoon we were invited over to Orchid Restaurant to taste their thai food. Orchid is one of the newest entries in the local thai scene, well there arent many but then making an authentic thai cuisine is some job. Thai is a rich culture and so is its food. Hence you have to have a 'taste' for it and yes buds to support the spices.
We let them decide on the menu and we started off with the infamous YUM KAI, the spicy thai salad. It was nice, fresh and yes spicy and loved the beginnings. Appetizers set you in the mood and so we were.
Then the main course came in and it as scrumtous to look at as it was to eat. Nicely decorated and very rich in terms of ingredients. Yes rich and I mean it with the red Capsicum and the rare thai spices to go with it. The rice were very well done and the seven leaf Thai chicken was nice and as they would call it in Thai 'phet mak' nice and spicy.
Thai food appeals to us and us lahoris tend to get hooked onto it easily because of their spices. If you already love Thai Food, this place is a must go. If you wana start, be my guest :D
